Event Description:
Artificial intelligence is no longer confined to the lab—it’s entering our most intimate spaces. Join Dr. Jaime Banks, Katchmar-Wilhelm Professor in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, for an interactive workshop exploring how AI companions—digital personas designed for connection—are transforming the ways we experience trust, empathy, and emotion.

This session invites students and faculty from every discipline to consider how emerging technologies are reshaping human relationships and what ethical frameworks will guide us through this new era of digital intimacy.
