Join Our Team

Cuse AI is currently assembling its inaugural Executive Board. As a student-led initiative built on experimentation and collaboration, we're looking for driven, curious students from all disciplines to help shape the future of AI at Syracuse.

While our core leadership team is forming, we’re actively recruiting for the following executive positions:

  • Cuse AI is seeking a dynamic Vice President to help lead the next chapter of Syracuse University’s interdisciplinary AI organization. This position is ideal for an undergraduate student interested in policy, leadership, or the societal impact of artificial intelligence.

    What You’ll Do
The Vice President will help shape organizational strategy, lead cross-college initiatives, and support the President in advancing Cuse AI’s mission to explore how artificial intelligence affects ethics, governance, communication, education, and civic life. You’ll collaborate with students across disciplines to organize events, guide outreach, and foster responsible, human-centered innovation.

    Who Should Apply
    We welcome undergraduate students from:

    • Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs

    • S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications

    • Whitman School of Management

    • College of Law

    • School of Education

    • College of Arts and Sciences

No technical background is required; just curiosity, initiative, and a drive to make AI’s societal influence better understood and more equitable.

This role is about shaping the conversation around technology, not just building it.

  • Overview
The ELP Director leads Cuse AI’s First-Year Leadership Program, a semester-long experience designed to cultivate the next generation of student innovators and leaders at Syracuse University. This role is perfect for a student passionate about mentorship, program design, and the intersection of technology, society, and leadership development.

    What You’ll Do
    The ELP Director will:

    • Design and oversee the structure and content of the Emerging Leaders Program, introducing first-year students to the foundations of AI literacy, civic responsibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

    • Develop and facilitate interactive workshops, discussions, and mentorship sessions that help participants explore both the social and technical dimensions of AI.

    • Coordinate with Cuse AI’s executive board and project teams to integrate ELP participants into ongoing initiatives, committees, and community events, ensuring their early involvement and growth within the organization.

    • Track participants’ progress, encourage reflection, and foster a supportive environment that builds confidence and long-term engagement.

    Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates are upper-level undergraduates who are creative, organized, and enthusiastic about education, mentorship, and leadership development. Technical AI expertise is not required—the focus is on empowering others to learn, connect, and lead responsibly in the age of artificial intelligence.

This position combines curriculum design, facilitation, and mentorship into one transformative leadership role that directly shapes Cuse AI’s culture of growth and inclusion.
